Games like Curve Fever and Achtung, die Kurve
The curve game has been remade many times since the 1990s. These are the ones you can play today, as of 25 September 2026. We make one of them, Coil Clash, and say so; the others are described from their own sites. If something here is out of date, tell us on the forum.
| Game | Where | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Coil Clash (ours) | Browser, phones | Free, up to 8 players online with no sign-up, bots for empty seats, 19 power-ups or none in Classic, up to 4 on one keyboard offline. An optional VIP membership sells cosmetics, nothing that helps you win. |
| Curve Fever Pro | Browser (Steam soon) | The official successor to Curve Fever, free to play, with unlockable powers and a battle pass. |
| Curve Crash | Browser | A remake in the style of Curve Fever 2, with ranked play and tournaments run by its community. |
| Achtung Royale | Browser | A newer online take with large lobbies, teams and ranked play. |
| Curvytron and Curvytron 2 | Browser | Open-source multiplayer remakes. |
| achtungkurve.com, kurve.se | Browser | Faithful local versions of the original, played on one keyboard. |
| The original | MS-DOS | The 1995 freeware game still runs in DOS emulators. |
What happened to Curve Fever?
Curve Fever (2011) took the game online and added power-ups, and was followed by Curve Fever 3 (2016) and Curve Fever Pro (2018). The studio behind it closed in 2019, and Curve Fever Pro has carried on since, with a Steam release on the way. Many players still miss Curve Fever 2, which is why so many remakes exist.
Why Coil Clash
It is quick to get into (open the page and play, no account), it works on a phone, bots mean there is always a match, and friends can join a private room from a link. How it plays.
Coil Clash is an independent game and is not affiliated with the makers of Achtung, die Kurve! or Curve Fever.
